Lubi Jovanovic's Soul Rebels night at the Wardrobe in Leeds kicks off this year with Riot Jazz Brass Band on February 1st.
For the last 5 years the Manchester-based group have played at festivals across Europe and were featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch (sharing the billing with Karl Pilkington and Truffles the truffle dog...). Their shows are fronted MC Chunky and though influenced by groups like Hot 8 Brass Band and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, they bring a unique twist to the music.
They are supported by Leeds group Nubiyan Twist and the night will start a at 9pm and finish at 2.30am. Tickets are £7 from Jumbo Records and Crash Records in Leeds, www.lunatickets.co.uk and www.seetickets.com and today Lubi announced that there are a limited number of £6 tickets with no booking fee available from the Wardrobe.
