A Night of Free Improv and 'Dinner Opera for Two' At Wharf Chambers.

Tonight, Warf Chambers in Leeds will host a night of free improv and the avant-garde performed by stellar musicians from across Europe.

Headlining are VIALKA - "This excellent French duo return to leeds to perform their latest project, the ‘minimalist dinner-opera for two’ À l’Abri des Regards Indiscrets. Their usual tools are a drumkit, baritone guitar and vocals. This time i’m told 'palaver, cuisine and sex will be melted into sounds, rhythms, and a breathless, ridiculous and nasty dual'. And i have no doubt it will be entertaining".
Also performing is guitarist Joel Stedman, who will be performing a free improvisation "mashing up the sounds of West African string music, Albert Ayler and everything in between", and the "lazily named" quartet Forde/McGraw/Kompart/Pöhlmann who will present an improvised set blending music and dance.
