Grimsby Jazz started in 2003 but became established as monthly venue in 2005 with the help of Arts Council funding. Gill Wilde is helped by a small committee who help run the gigs, which they describe as "live performances of modern jazz from leading musicians and supporting top quality local and regional artists."
Not content with running a venue, in 2009 they branched out to begin running the Cleethorpes Jazz Festival, taking over from North East Lincolnshire Council. Funding permitting, they will be hosting the 2013 festival between the 28th and 30th of June.
Their 2013 programme will feature Gilad Atzmon, John Law, Marlene Verplanck, John Etheridge's Sweet Chorus, Georgia Mancio and Alan Barnes.
