Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition, 3-5th October
The semi-finals and grand final of the Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition take place this weekend featuring pianists from across Europe and the USA.
Semi-finals will take place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th at the Arkwright Building (Nottingham Trent University) and the Grand Final will be held at the Nottingham Albert Hall on Sunday 5th October.

Michal Gozdek - 28 (Poland)

Papuna Sharikadze - 17 (Georgia)
Jakub Pluzek - 26 (Poland)
Mario Rafael - 24 (Hungary)
Claudio Vignali - 28 (Italy)
Antonio Truylos - 24 (USA)
This year, the judging panel includes LCoM head of Jazz Jamil Sheriff alongside Andrea Vicari, David Newton and Tim Richards.
In addition to these events, there will also be workshops and a limited number of one-to-one tuition places open to the public on Saturday 4th.

9.30am - Making It Count with Jamil Sheriff
12.00pm - From Blues to Bebop with Tim Richards
2.30pm - The Devil's In The Detail with David Newton
6.00pm - Semi-Final (Arkwright Building, Nottingham Trent University)
Sunday 5th October
4.00pm - Grand Final (Nottingham Albert Hall)
