First concert for a couple of years from this occasional group which brings together a number of highly individualistic improvisers from the worlds of both purely improvised music and of improvisation based contemporary scored music. ENGINE ROOM FAVOURITES

It's taken a year to get round to a second concert by my fantastic new group which includes some rising stars from the UK jazz scene alongside some crusty old mavericks. You decide who is which:

Martin Archer - saxophones and clarinets : Mick Beck - tenor sax and bassoon : Graham Clark - violin : Laura Cole - piano : Corey Mwamba - vibraphone : Seth Bennett - double bass: Pete Fairclough - drums : Johnny Hunter - drums : Walt Shaw - percussion : Steve Dinsdale - percussion

Expect a collage of intricate yet spacious AACM informed JAZZ, based on the group's second CD "Bad Tidings from Slack Water Drag"
This large group concert is made possible through funding from Jazz North's Northern Line scheme.
