It's been a good month for press recognition for some of Yorkshire's finest young jazz musicians.
Drummer and LCoM graduate Jay Davis, winner of the Yamaha Jazz Scholar award 2012, is featured on the Jazzwise CD alongside pianist Declan Forde and bassist Tom Wheatley playing an original composition by Jay.
Previous winner and LCoM graduate Riley Stone-Lonergan is also mentioned in Jazzwise this month as "One to Watch in 2013".
Trumpeter Kim Macari (another LCoM graduate...!) is interviewed in JazzUK about her work and current projects.
And finally, some current LCoM students featured in a concert in London this week at Steinway Hall, showcasing the current jazz talent at the college. Performers included Robin David Porter, Jonathan Brown, Oliver Cadman, Angus Milne, Matthew Aplin and Ashley Henry.
