The latest from JazzUK



JazzUK sent out its latest newsletter recently with details on the upcoming #4Jazzfestival in Coventry and vacant positions on the new JazzUK Board.

The #4JazzFestival takes place on the 27th and 28th November in Coventry. According to JazzUK most of the festival's events will be free and the programme features bands like World Service Project, Perhaps Contraption (pictured above), Andrew McCormack, Courtney Pine and Corey Mwamba's Yana amongst others. They are also looking for two new trustees to join the JazzUK board.They are looking for -

 - Knowledge or experience of the jazz world, as musician, manager, promoter, jazz educator, or simply a jazz enthusiast. 

- Experience of audience development in the arts sector. 

- Fundraising from the private sector

A genuine enthusiasm for the genre is a prerequisite. Previous board experience is not required, and the Board of JazzUK welcomes applications from diverse backgrounds and endeavours to have diversity of origin, gender and experience reflected in our trustees 

Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings, typically starting at 4pm in London
